Hello, a typical 30-pound thrust trolling will last about 4 hours with a fully charged deep cycle if used at 100% power. 50% of energy you may be able to operate the same engine of 8.6 hours. Weed Whacker The idea sounds fun, but be prepared to pull the weed whacker after only a few hours. You can get one or two trips of it before that the centrifugal clutch failure. A weed whacker clutch uses a small head of energy and if you put it under a heavy load will burn surfaces clutch in a very short time. I have seen large boats powered by a direct drive shaft running lawn mower or even small engines cars, I guess you can do the same with weed whacker engine, but it would take a bit of machine work and creativity.
