Inflatable Boat Set
Would I have to License this Boat?
I just bought an inflatable river raft. It's got oars and its pretty durable. I live in Illinois and I cant seem to figure out if I will have to license this dang thing or not. I mean, it has no motor, and its not metal....??? let me know your opinions....

Usually one doesn't have ta' register a raft if there ain't no motor but, each state varies. Have searched this out for ya' and have come up with nothin' tangible, soooo all I can suggest is ta' give em' a call 217-557-0180 (Illinois DNR's Watercraft Registration/renewal). I live in CA., (unfortunately) and have both an 11 1/2 raft with an electric trollin' motor on it along with a' 14' Jon boat (20hp outboard) ~ boat has ta' be registered but, not raft. Like I say, give em' a call. Good luck

Note: May want ta' check out and see if the particular raft you have will accommodate motor mounts for an electric troller motor ~ after awhile them oar's get a' bit borin'...
