1. NORTH EUROPEAN PLAIN
The fertile North European Plain slopes to the north-northeast from the Alps, extending to the Baltic Sea, and on into Denmark and southern Finland, Norway and Sweden. It continues west for almost 2,500 miles (4000 km), on into the Russian Federation. The land is largely flat with smaller areas of hills, including the Central Russian Uplands. Farming is prevalent and agricultural communities dot the landscape.

2.The Straits of Tiran (Arabic: مضيق تيران ), (Hebrew: מצרי טיראן) are the narrow sea passages, about 3 miles wide, formed by the Sinai and Arabian peninsulas which separates the Gulf of Aqaba from the Red Sea. Access to Israel's seaport of Eilat and Jordan's only seaport of Aqaba is contingent upon passage through the Gulf of Aqaba, giving the Straits of Tiran strategic importance. This proved pivotal in the Arab-Israeli conflict during the twentieth century, notably the Six-Day War in 1967. It is named after the island Tiran located at its inflow, on which the Multinational Force and Observers has an observation post. Sanafir island lies to the east of Tiran, southeast of the shallow strait between Tiran and Saudi Arabia.
International documents inconsistently refer to the Straits of Tiran and the Strait of Tiran. There are several passages formed by the islands between Egypt and Saudi Arabia. The westernmost strait, between Egypt and the island of Tiran, overlooked by the Egyptian city Sharm el-Sheikh is the Strait of Tiran. It has two passages deep enough to be navigable by large ships. The Enterprise passage, 950 feet deep, is right next to the Egyptian side, while the 240-foot-deep Grafton passage, surrounded by shallows, is to the east, nearer to the island of Tiran. To the east of Tiran, between it and Saudi Arabia, the other strait has reefs and shallows with a single channel 54 feet deep.

4.Outrigger Canoe Racing is a team paddling sport which utilises the outrigger canoe. The sport is also known as Wa'a racing in some parts of the Pacific and Waka Ama ( Māori) in New Zealand. The length of the race can be up 500 meters in short sprint events, 8 kilometres for "short course" events, 16 to 18 kilometres for "long course" events, and 42 kilometres for marathon events. The standard crew complement is six to nine, depending on the type of race and canoe. As a standard outrigger canoe contains six seats, crew changovers during longer races involve exit and entry to the canoe directly from the water while the canoe is underway. The longer races are typically conducted in the open ocean.

5.Angkor Wat (or Angkor Vat) is a temple at Angkor, Cambodia, built for king Suryavarman II in the early 12th century as his state temple and capital city. The largest and best-preserved temple at the site, it is the only one to have remained a significant religious centre—first Hindu, then Buddhist—since its foundation. The temple is the epitome of the high classical style of Khmer architecture. It has become a symbol of Cambodia, appearing on its national flag, and it is the country's prime attraction for visitors. Angkor Wat combines two basic plans of Khmer temple architecture: the temple mountain and the later galleried temples. It is designed to represent Mount Meru, home of the gods in Hindu mythology: within a moat and an outer wall 3.6 km (2.2 miles) long are three rectangular galleries, each raised above the next. At the centre of the temple stands a quincunx of towers. Unlike most Angkorian temples, Angkor Wat is orientated to the west; scholars are divided as to the significance of this. As well as for the grandeur and harmony of the architecture, the temple is admired for its extensive bas-reliefs and for the numerous devatas adorning its walls.
